After graduating with a Business degree in Real Estate and Finance in 1982, John Gillespie began his commercial real estate career in San Francisco, and, in 1988, relocated to Southern California. Focusing exclusively on tenant representation since 1999, John Gillespie provides corporate real estate services nationally, including strategic review, portfolio analysis, single and multiple office lease transactions, expansions, dispositions, and project management. Prior to the establishment of Newport Commercial Realty Advisors (NCR Advisors), John worked on behalf of several developers and landlords, and was involved in the development and leasing of numerous major office building projects. As a result of this experience, John has a unique and thorough understanding of landlords’ motivations when negotiating on behalf of his tenant clients. Over his 28-year career, John has won numerous industry awards recognizing his consistent success. Since 2000, John has personally completed over 160 tenant-represented transactions comprising over 6,000,000 square feet, including corporate requirements for 15,000 employees nationwide, and has transacted more leased square footage than any other individual broker in Orange County. John Gillespie is a member of the Alliance of Tenant Representatives (ATR), a network of independent tenant brokers within 23 offices nationwide.
